About the Institute

The Tawhid Institute for Training Imams and Preachers is a Sharia-compliant educational institution dedicated to preparing and qualifying imams and preachers academically and pedagogically according to the methodology of Ahlus Sunnah wal Jama'ah (the Sunni community). Located in Kigoma, Tanzania, the institute welcomes students from across the country, providing a nurturing educational environment focused on building Islamic character and developing preaching skills. It offers specialized programs in Islamic sciences and Arabic language, aiming to graduate qualified imams and preachers who contribute to disseminating Islamic knowledge, serving the community, and calling to Allah with wisdom and good counsel. The institute also emphasizes instilling Islamic values, cultivating a sense of responsibility, and preparing preachers capable of meeting the needs of Muslim communities both within and outside Tanzania.
